An incredible collection of art and objet d’art paved the way for a fresh, spirited interior that delights the senses.

Aprehensive about their ‘off-the-plans’ apartment purchase and their impending downsize from a large suburban home to a two-bedroom inner city apartment, our clients turned to us for guidance in creating a home that they could be happy to remain in for the next chapter of their lives, and to be convinced that they hadn’t made the wrong decision in moving.

With that challenge accepted, we treated the blank canvas as just that; a gallery space for a well loved, careful curation of art and objet that - along with a wall-to-wall collection of books and a few framed photos - were the only items the clients wanted to bring to their new abode.

New sofas were selected for their design-focused forms; a mustard yellow Togo in the media room, and a B&B Italia Tufty Time sofa in the light-filled living room. Complimented by the strong, clean lines of rugs, lighting and occasional chairs, we let the interiors simply buddy-up with the featured art to create a swathe of colourful interest, contrast and cohesion throughout the apartment - executed in an effortless manner.
